Nothing says ‘I love you mum’ more than the perfect bottle of wine, but how do you know what the perfect bottle of wine is?? Don’t worry, scientists (me) have spent a long time figuring exactly out what kind of wine mum would be, whether she’s a granola mum, a touch overly sentimental, or anything in between.
PINOT GRIS
If she loves a hike and being in nature, she’s a pinot gris. She’s a bit of a granola mum and probably wakes up at 5am to make her own sourdough too. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little jealous of how much energy she has.

ROSE
Friday night means face mask, cucumbers on her eyes, nails painted, candles lit. Classic rosé. Her self-care routine is an important ritual that must NOT be disrupted. She’s never stressed about anything and everything always turns out perfectly, like she’s the world’s favourite (as she should be).

Pinot noir is the essence of the mum that loves to cook, almost too much. Holidays almost feel like being attacked with the sheer amount of food she’s made, but of course you overeat until you’re a little nauseous because its just too good.

Moscato is for the fun girlies who don’t take themselves too seriously, mum included. Mum’s a little weird in the best way possible, but she never cares what anyone else thinks of her.
She loves a good goss and is probably way to invested in your friend’s situationship drama. Expect her to throw a party when she finally dumps him.
Light, lively and unapologetically fun. If that isn’t mum to a tee, idk what is.
SHIRAZ
She doesn’t let anyone keep her down, no matter what. Some people might call her intimidating, but she’s just motivated. Bold but calm, like a glass of shiraz.
She’s truly the blueprint of a girlboss. Drinking an espresso with breakfast while wearing a perfectly tailored blazer, on her way to make the day hers. I hope one day I become her.
